Presidio Brass has again been asked to join the Live on Stage
roster for the 2009-10 tour season! Check the calendar in the
coming months for tour dates/locations and see if we will be
coming to a town near you.
The 2008 Summer Brass Seminar was a tremendous success.
More than 60 students participated in the week long event,
doubling the numbers from our inaugural Seminar last year.
New this time was the expansion to two age specific sessions
and we are looking forward to expanding the Seminar even further
next year! Check back for more information as the summer of
2009 approaches.

The Presidio Brass are very excited to announce that we
will be hosting the 2008 Summer Brass Seminar on July
7-11, from 9:00am - 12:00pm (6th - 8th grade) and
1:00 - 4:00pm (9th grade and older), at Rancho Bernardo
High School in San Diego, CA. Highlights include an instrument
"boot-camp", playing and performing in large and small
chamber brass ensembles, and masterclasses on such
topics as auditions, musical expression, and effective

We are very pleased to annouce that the Presidio Brass will
be featured on tour nationally through Live on Stage during the
2007-2008 concert season. As dates are finalized, we will be
updating the calendar section with further information.
Additionally, we are also excited that Shelly Fuerte, formerly an
artistic administrator for the Pittsburg Symphony and currently
the Director of Artistic Planning for the San Diego Symphony,
has agreed to come on board as the new manager for the
Presidio Brass. Shelly brings a knowledge and experience that
will, without a doubt, help the Presidio Brass grow by leaps
and bounds in the coming years!

Welcome to the new Presidio Brass website! This site is just
one of the many changes we have had in the last couple of
months and we are all really excited about the future. The most
significant change has been the addition of Bill Owens on
trumpet. Bill brings a host of experience from his native New York
City where he recently graduated from the prestigious Juilliard
School. Bringing different influences and talents together has
always been a big part of the Presidio Brass, and we’re
incredibly thrilled to see what lies ahead.
