SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA or CONCERT BAND Presidio Brass joins your Symphony or Band in a Pops Concert that is sure to bring your audience to its feet! Including selections from the Sounds of the Cinema program and featuring Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, when Presidio Brass presents the iconic piano solo in a fresh and exciting way that only brass can!
CLASSIC SOUNDS OF THE CINEMA With a focus on the classical literature that have been used in film, this is Presidio Brass in a formal, recital setting. In addition to some of the classical music listed above, Presidio Brass will perform beloved works such as, Claire de Lune by Claude Debussy and Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.
CHRISTMAS DAY – Festival of Carols
Decorate your Christmas season with great music from Presidio Brass. Combining traditional brass instruments with piano and optional organ and percussion adds a welcome freshness to holiday programming with arrangements specifically written for this ensemble. Presidio Brass performs some of the world’s most treasured songs and carols that brilliantly express the celebratory spirit of the season. Drawn from their CD, “Christmas Day”, selections for this show include “Festival of Carols”, “Christmas Day”, “Silent Night”, “O Holy Night”, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” plus a new musical tribute to the classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. It is the perfect way to add joy and majesty to the season.
GRAND OLD FLAG - Patriotic Tribute
The Presidio Brass’ Grand Old Flag - A Patriotic Tribute is a performance of the songs that have become part of the America’s National Heritage. The program includes a combination of hymns, historic songs, music of the theater, movies and television, military themes and stirring patriotic marches – signifying the expression of pride and hope that remain a constant part of the American experience. In addition to traditional brass instruments, piano and full drums are added to complete the ensemble for this program.
BAGPIPES AND BRASS - Celtic Celebration with Millennia Consort
Presidio Brass has teamed with organist extraordinaire, Alison Luedecke and percussionist Beverly Reese Dorsey to form Millennia Consort, one of America’s premiere Organ and Brass ensembles. In the program Bagpipes and Brass, Millennia Consort presents some of the most cherished melodies from the Celtic tradition, from Scotland the Brave to Amazing Grace, and combines them with bagpipes and traditional Irish and Scottish dancers. Equally perfect for the concert stage as well as fairs and festivals, Bagpipes and Brass is sure to be the inspiring and magical concert experience your audience is longing for!
